Absonant Desolation

Absonant Desolation is a string quartet composed by Christopher Mesa. This piece is composed using three 4-note chords that were basically chosen at random. In a way, this is sort of like serialism, however I am making my own sonic landscape from the three chords I am using. To keep this piece from sounding the same, I frequently transpose all three chords and use them in many different combinations. Some parts of this movement are composed using a synthetic scale that was derived from one of my chosen chords.
