Here’s That Rainy Day (Arr.)
For Jazz Combo
Here’s That Rainy Day is a jazz standard composed by Jimmy Van Heusen. This is an arrangement of the piece for jazz combo. The instrumentation is for alto sax, tenor sax, trumpet, trombone, piano, bass, and drums. The piece begins with a short introduction before launching into the melody, first played by the alto saxophone and then by the trumpet. When the solo section arrives, the alto saxophone solos first, followed by the trumpet. During these solos, the tenor saxophone and trombone provide background lines. After the solos, the melody reappears in the alto saxophone, supported by a homophonic texture from the other horns.
